In an interview with Jake Tapper, Robby Mook broke down and finally admitted that Hillary’s off-the-wall comment about Trump supporters being ‘deplorable’ harmed her campaign.
CNN held a forum with Democrat campaign manager Robby Mook and Republican campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. Jake Tapper took the opportunity to ask both their thoughts on the presidential campaigns of President-Elect Trump and Hillary Clinton.
When asked by the host about an internal campaign study that found Clinton’s September 9th comment harmful to her bid for presidency, Mook admitted, “I think it definitely could have alienated some voters, and that’s why she got out there right away.”
Initially when probed about the comment, Mook tried to downplay the gravity of Clinton’s words. But finally agreed that her words affected the campaign.
