Rosie offers $2 MIL bribe in Twitter rampage for senators to vote against tax bill

Actress Rosie O’Donnell, who is vehemently opposed to all Republican policies, especially the GOP tax bill, jumped on Twitter late Tuesday evening and sarcastically offered Republican Sen. Susan Collins $2 million cash if she would vote against the bill.

Sen. Collins, of Maine, had voiced support for the GOP tax reform bill, and voted in favor of it Tuesday night after securing revisions she requested that would benefit working families.

Collins, who leans to the left on some issues, was ridiculed by the left Tuesday over her support for the tax bill.

In an interview with Politico Tuesday, she stated, ““I believe that the coverage has been unbelievably sexist, and I cannot believe that the press would have treated another senator with 20 years of experience as they have treated me. They’ve ignored everything that I’ve gotten and written story after story about how I’m duped. How am I duped when all your amendments get accepted?”

Rosie tweeted prior to the senate vote on the tax bill, “susan – 2 million dollars cash, call if u want to negotiate. do u think your family is proud of u @sennatorcollins
woman – mother – grandmother – sister – daughter
u have betrayed us all. dear god. ask for forgiveness
redeem ur soul tomorrow #NOTSEXIST.”

An entire string of Twitter posts followed, as Rosie confirmed repeatedly her offer of $2 million cash if senators would change their vote.  (SCROLL DOWN to see response to Rosie by Dennis Michael Lynch, CEO of DML News.)

O’Donnell then upped the offer to include Sen. Jeff Flake as well, tweeting,

“so how about this, i promise to give 2 million dollars to senator susan collins and 2 million to senator jeff flake
if they vote NO
DM me susan
DM me jeff
no shit. 2 million cash each.”

Many Twitter users pointed out to her that bribery of public officials is against the law.
