Rubio: People got what they voted for (video)

In an interview on ‘Face the Nation,’ Sen. Marco Rubio was asked on Sunday by John Dickerson to share his thoughts on the current happenings in the White House.

Dickerson cited a recent statement from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said he would like a “little less drama from the White House.” Rubio took a road less traveled by the talking heads who play it safe on TV.   Rubio, who was one of the last men standing in the 2016 race, said the recent controversy from the Trump administration was not at all shocking.

“I don’t understand why people are that shocked,” said the former presidential candidate. “This president ran a very unconventional campaign.”

Rubio, who supported Trump after his own failed presidential campaign added, “That’s what the American people voted for, and in essence, this White House is not much different from the campaign. People got what they voted for, they elected him.”
