Joseph Jakubowski, 32, who has been at large since April 4, after stealing firearms from a gun store, scripting a 161-page “manifesto” to President Trump, and terrorizing schools, may also be the author of a new letter threatening violence to churches on Easter Sunday.
“We received a letter from an individual purporting to be Joseph Jakubowski,” said Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Phillip Carini.
Waukesha authorities are actively investigating the written threat but are not yet able to conclude whether Jakubowski is the author.
Authorities have also increased security around churches in the area and are helping them review safety plans for Easter Sunday.
Investigators have forwarded the letter for further analysis and are working with local officials, church leaders, and local, state, and federal law enforcement on the case.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker canceled his annual Easter egg hunt in response to the threat.
