“Draft Paul Ryan for President.”
Earle Mack, the wealthy businessman and former ambassador to Finland, has launched a super PAC to draft House Speaker Paul Ryan to run for the Republican presidential nomination. Mack told The New York Times that he plans to spend as much as $1 million to support “The Committee to Draft Speaker Ryan”.
Mack says Trump is not the right person for the nomination. “It all comes down to winning the election, not dividing our party, and I think that this presidential election has descended into more of a schoolyard scuffle.”
Paul Ryan has not said a word so far.
