Russia claims it can destroy U.S. Navy

A news report out of Russia said the country has a piece of technology that can wipe out the U.S. Navy. It claims its ‘electric bomb’ uses powerful electrical signals that essentially render planes, ships, and missiles useless.

The report specifically states, “Today, our Russian Electronic Warfare (REW) troops can detect and neutralise any target from a ship’s system and a radar, to a satellite.”

It referenced a Russian warplane that used the technology to disable an American destroyer, USS Donald Cook, several years ago, and added it can create an electric “dome” over their bases making them invisible on radar screens.

“Russian electronic weapons completely paralyze the functioning of American electronic equipment installed on missiles, aircraft, and ships,” said U.S. General Frank Gorenc, quoted in the report.

The author of the report added, “You don’t need to have expensive weapons to win – powerful radio-electronic jamming is enough.”

The report comes after President Donald Trump dispatched the USS Carl Vinson, destroyers, a cruiser, and a submarine to the Korean Peninsula. Russian President Vladimir Putin recently told the U.S. to show “restraint” as tensions rise in that region.
