Russian DENIES report of discussions with Trump

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has just blew apart a story put out Friday by the New York Times.

On May 10, President Trump had a meeting in the Oval Office with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak, just one day after FBI Director James Comey was fired.

The New York Times published a story Friday, claiming they had leaked information that Trump reportedly said during that May 10 meeting, “I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

Lavrov told reporters Saturday that no such conversation took place. “We did not touch this subject,” Lavrov said at a news conference in Cyprus, according to Russia’s TASS news agency.

According to Lavrov, Trump did not discuss Comey’s firing with them.
