U.S. officials reported Tuesday morning that Russia has made an alarming, provocative move against the United States, just one day after the U.S. shot down a Syrian fighter jet.
Monday, an armed Russian Su-27 fighter jet flew within five feet of a U.S. Air Force RC-135 recon plane over the Baltic Sea in a taunting move, officials reported, adding that the Russian plane was flying “erratically.”
The Russian jet was reportedly carrying air-to-air missiles.
After the Syrian jet was shot down Sunday, Russia had blasted out a threatening warning to the U.S., stating it will regard as targets any U.S. or coalition aircraft that fly over its “operation areas” in Western Syria.
Hours later, they pulled the dangerous stunt against the U.S. plane.
