Russia’s Twitter Responses To Obama’s “Sanctions”

President Obama announced “economic sanctions” Thursday against Russia, over the allegation that Russia “interfered” with the American election.

Part of the punishment included kicking 35 Russian diplomats out of the country, giving them just 72 hours to make their exit.

Russia has promised to make an official response on Friday, along with “countermeasures.”  Meanwhile, several twitter responses have been posted on Russian Embassy accounts.

Prior to Obama’s announcement, Russia in USA tweeted, “If Washington takes new hostile steps, it will receive an answer.”

Once the announcement of sanctions was made, Russia hit back at Obama, calling him a “lame duck”, and said everyone, including the American people, will be glad to see the last of this “hapless administration.”

Pinned to the top of the “Russia in USA” Twitter account is the video of Putin congratulating President-elect Donald Trump on his victory the day after the election.
