Lawmakers, the media and voters are reacting to the Thursday unveiling of the Senate Republican’s legislation which is aimed at repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

The Associated Press posted a tweet that read, “BREAKING: Senate Republicans unveil health care bill scuttling Obama law, cuts Medicaid, slashes taxes for wealthy.”

Former presidential candidate and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) weighed in with a tweet stating that “The bill Republicans announced today is even worse than expected and by far the most harmful piece of legislation I’ve seen in my lifetime.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) went on a Twitter tirade claiming that the Senate bill benefits the wealthy at the expense of the poor, among other assertions.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also posted a tweet criticizing the Senate bill, calling it “an incredibly mean and thoroughly heartless piece of legislation.”
