Scaramucci opens up for first time since firing

After his short, rollercoaster-ride stint as the White House communications director ended unceremoniously earlier this week, Anthony Scaramucci opened up to TMZ in reflecting on his experience in politics.

The Wall Street shark turned political PR front man said to the paparazzi network that he is “working on being the best person I can be.”

“I want Chief of Staff Kelly to have an unbelievable opportunity inside the White House,” Scaramucci told TMZ on Tuesday, after losing his Trump administration job after just 10 days.

While fulfilling Trump’s big personality requirement, Scaramucci accomplished little else besides media and administrative carnage for the administration. He will most likely be remembered for his profanity-imbued tirade delivered to reporter Ryan Lizza from The New Yorker in which he called former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus “a f**king paranoid schizophrenic.”

Upon Priebus’s ousting, newly appointed Chief of Staff General John Kelly reportedly counseled Trump against retaining Scaramucci as communications director, but press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hasn’t spoken to that scenario.

When asked if he had any advice for Kelly, Scaramucci told TMZ that it “was not appropriate” for him to comment “right now.” These are strange words from the flamboyant, outspoken New Yorker.

It’s unlikely the fiery Wall Street personality will stay quiet for long, however. In response to buzz about possibly competing on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” an invitation also reportedly afforded to former press secretary Sean Spicer, Scaramucci responded with a sly grin: “I don’t know how to dance.”

Speaking of Spicer: with Scaramucci out of a job, the question of whether outgoing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s departure is still proceeding as planned was raised. According to the new press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, nothing has changed.

“I’m not aware of any changes that have been made on that front,” Huckabee Sanders said of Spicer’s mid-August departure date.
