School teacher arrested for smashing husband’s Porsche with metal rod

NEW YORK — A high school teacher in Staten Island was arrested Tuesday for taking out her rage at her husband on his Porsche, smashing it with a metal rod, police said.

A 50-year-old Business teacher at New Dorp High School, Stephanie Tuzzo went at the white, two-door sports car in the driveway of the couple’s home sometime around 2 a.m. She also smashed a window of their home and an air conditioning unit, police confirmed.

Her husband quickly called 911 to report the domestic incident and police arrested the woman, who seemed to be intoxicated at the time.

Tuzzo was booked and charged with criminal mischief, officials said.

It has yet to be determined what caused the scuffle to ensue.

New Dorp High School’s website says Tuzzo is an instructor of Business at the school.
