Secret Service interviews Kathy Griffin

The U.S. Secret Service conducted an official in-person interview with comedian Kathy Griffin over the controversial photo she posted of herself holding a fake decapitated head resembling President Trump.

According to political reporter Yashar Ali, the interview lasted for more than an hour, and the investigation is ongoing.

In June, Griffin’s lawyers confirmed that an investigation had been initiated and that they intended to fully cooperate.

Following widespread outrage over the photo, Griffin issued a video apology in which she said she went “too far” and claimed that she had received “constant death threats.”

Griffin alluded to the stress caused by a Secret Service investigation when she tweeted a response to an article that identified TMZ as the media’s “most potent” pro-Trump outlet.

Griffin tweeted, “Hey … TMZ and [TMZ founder] Harvey Levin may you NEVER [be] under fed investigation like I am now.”
