Secret Service Rushes Trump off Stage

On Saturday night in Reno, NV, GOP nominee Donald Trump was rushed off stage by the Secret Service after a protester was said to have a gun.

It started when a protester in the crowd pushed himself closer to the stage. Trump supporters read his anti-Trump sign and began pointing him out to Trump. The sign he was holding read: “Republicans Against Trump”. Trump responded by saying, “Get him out.” Seconds later someone shouted out that the protester had a gun. Immediately, Secret Service went on stage and rushed Trump away from the podium as another group of agents went into the crowd to handcuff the protester.

Minutes later Trump took to the stage again and said to the cheering crowd, “Nobody said it was going to be easy for us. But we will never be stopped.”

The man identified himself as Austyn Crites, 33, of Reno. Crites was briefly detained and was later released from custody. The Secret Service said no weapon was found after a search of the surrounding area.

In an interview with the Guardian, Crites described himself as a Republican and a conservative who was opposed to a possible Trump presidency.
