Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has sent a letter to Donald Trump Jr. requesting he testify in open session before the committee next week.
Grassley told NPR that Trump Jr. would be subpoenaed if necessary, although Trump Jr. told Sean Hannity on Fox News this week that he’s willing to testify under oath.
The committee also asked former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort to testify as well.
The New York Times unveiled that Trump Jr., Manafort, and White House executive Jared Kushner attended a meeting in June of 2016 with a Russian lawyer who had ties to the Kremlin in order to get information about the Hillary Clinton campaign.
