Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has recently said he is thinking about running for the U.S. Senate in 2018, according to reports.
“I don’t have any predictions on what I might do. I’m not going to open a door and I’m not going to close a door. All doors are open,” he told Desert News when asked about running for the Senate.
It may all depend on Sen. Orrin Hatch, who has been a Republican senator in Utah for 40 years. Hatch is up for reelection in 2018.
“I’m not looking forward to anything political at the national level,” Romney said. “We’ve got some races coming up here in Utah that are going to be interesting. We’ll see what happens on that front.”

Romney, who was once a “Never Trump” guy, had some positive things to add about the president in the interview, as well.
“We’re all watching with interest. He’s obviously gotten off to a very strong start in terms of making a series of executive orders and making the changes that he promised during the campaign.”
