Setting The Record Straight On Trump’s Plane

The rumors are partly true… and partly false.   Here’s the TRUE STORY.

You may have heard that Trump’s plane is grounded, because he didn’t pay the registration renewal fee.   Yes, whoever was supposed to be responsible for renewing the registration for a plane owned by Donald Trump slipped up.   It was due on February 1 – it’s only a $5 registration fee, and it’s valid for three years.

However, the overdue registration fee is NOT for the large Boeing 757 jet that many are most familiar with.

The expired registration is for a smaller plane, a 1997 Cessna 750 Citation X, owned by DJT Operations CX, a limited liability company controlled by Mr. Trump.

Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for Mr. Trump, said, “The standard renewal process is just about complete.”

According to NY Times, Trump also has four other registered aircraft: the Boeing 757 and three Sikorsky helicopters.

This is the plane that is grounded due to missed registration filing.
