After inventing one of the world’s first interactive sex robots, Sergi Santos says that it’s his next goal to be able to have a “baby” with one of his creations. The Spanish inventor said he also thinks people will be getting married to their imitation women in the near future.

“[People] need to remember that just a few years ago mobile phones were seen as a non-essential item in society, but now we can’t function without them.” Santos pointed out.

Working alongside his wife, fellow designer Martisa Kissamitaki, Santos credits his sex robot “Samantha” with having improved their marriage of 16 years. Other sex doll inventors make similar claims.

The couple perfects their creations at their studio in Barcelona, making Samantha sex dolls that cost several thousand dollars for an increasing number of people around the world.

Santos’s vision of a sex-robot baby involves merging the robot’s personality and physical traits with its owner’s attributes in a computer program. He would then create a pseudo child’s brain and body, birthing it on a 3D printer.

“I can make them have a baby,” boasted Santos. He added, “It’s not so difficult. I would love to have a child with a robot. Using the brain, I have already created, I would program it with a genome so he or she could have moral values, plus concepts of beauty, justice and the values that humans have.”

He went on to explain how simple the process would be and stated that he doesn’t “see any complications,” in an interview with The Sun.

Acknowledging that many people are shocked by the first generation of sex robots, Santos is confident that they will soon be accepted and have a place in civil society.
