Georgia police said a county sheriff was caught exposing himself in a public park on Saturday.
According to reports, DeKalb County Sheriff Jeffrey Mann allegedly sprinted from a bicycle cop in Piedmont Park after he had exposed his genitals while walking towards the officer.
Apparently, Mann didn’t realize he was approaching a police officer on the bicycle while exposing himself, but quickly fled when the officer shined his flashlight on him.
According to the police report, Mann ran into oncoming traffic just south of the park. He then took a quick break to tie his shoe before giving up to police.
Mann was cuffed and now faces charges of public indecency and obstruction. He was carrying a handful of condoms in his pockets according to the officer who filed the report.
The bike officer described the park in Atlanta as a popular area for “sexual acts after dark.”
Dekalb County is Georgia’s fourth largest county. Mann was reelected as sheriff in 2016.
