MARYLAND — A young women has been found dead near the campus at Johns Hopkins University.
The dead female is 19-year-old Abigail Bastien of Sandusky, Ohio, she was a student at Johns Hopkins. The cause of death is not yet known.
State police say officers were called at 8 a.m. to a street located just north of the campus where they discovered her body. Police say they are investigating, but there are no immediate leads or obvious signs of foul play at the scene.
Abigail was very involved within the JHU community. She was working this summer at the School of Medicine’s cell biology department. She was a sprinter on the track and field team, and a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
