Orange County College student Caleb O’Neill defied school rules by recording his professor Olga Perez Stable-Cox as she ranted in class against President Donald Trump.

Stating Trump’s election into office was an “act of terrorism”, Perez’s December lecture and subsequent documentation resulted in O’Neill being suspended.

Backed by FreedomX, O’Neill’s case was negotiated and eventually dismissed by the school. The suspension and a previously written letter of apology from O’Neill to the college were both erased.

“[Orange Coast College’s] miscalculation leaves a blemish on its reputation,” FreedomX lead attorney and president Bill Becker said. “We hope that the administration, staff and faculty have learned from the errors made.”

Both Becker and Joshua Recalde-Martinez, the head of the school’s College Republicans group, stated their dissatisfaction towards Perez’s lack of punishment. However, O’Neill was simply pleased with being able to restart his education.

“I am so happy!” said O’Neil. “I’m just trying to get my education. We started something big; now it’s time for other conservatives to keep the fire going.”

Here is the video O’Neil took and made public:
