An unidentified man on a motorcycle sped into a crowd of hundreds of Pakistani pharmacists attending a protest rally and detonated a large bomb right in the middle of them, killing several people and injuring many more.
Pakistani police official, Zaheer Abbas said that, so far, at least seven people have been killed and over 40 injured from this attack.
The rally was held in the city of Lahore and attended by pharmacists protesting new Pakistani regulations governing drug sales.
According to Abbas, two police officers, one of whom was a former provincial counterterrorism chief, were present at the bombing and killed.
The Taliban has already claimed responsibility for the attack.
