ENGLAND — A British physics teacher has been indefinitely banned from the classroom after she was caught having drunken sex with a student in an airplane bathroom.

Eleanor Wilson, 28, of South Gloucestershire, was coming back from a school trip with students in July of 2015 when she started flirting with one male student near the rear of the plane.

Wilson and the boy, whose age has not been released, were allegedly both intoxicated when they went into the plane’s bathroom and had unprotected sex.

The two continued their relationship outside of school with texts and late-night drinks. The boy admitted to the panel that they were seeing each other and that he loved her.

The head of the school learned of the relationship in September 2015, and, after speaking to Wilson, no action was taken because there was no corroborating evidence. A few months later, she again denied meeting with the student outside of school and having sex with him.

The student told the panel that Wilson forced him to deny the accusations that they were in a relationship and to delete all his texts from her while the school investigated the situation.

But the relationship became known eight months later when Wilson received an email from another student who said he would reveal everything unless she had sex with him.

Prior to this, Wilson had denied all allegations of inappropriate sexual activity and claimed she had only “hugged on occasion.” She had admitted that she and one student met outside of school, but denied they drank alcohol.

After teaching at the school since 2013, Wilson was dismissed in May 2016, when her improprieties came to light.

The disciplinary board found Wilson guilty in all but two of the allegations put forth.

The panel banned Wilson from teaching in any school and ordered she cannot apply for a teaching job, indefinitely.
