San Francisco’s public schools have decided it appropriate to create an anti-Trump lesson plan and administer it to young impressionable school children, which calls Trump out as a racist and sexist.
The NY Daily News reports that, “The city’s teachers union has offered its members a lesson plan that calls the soon-to-be commander-in-chief a racist and a sexist.”
According to Fakhra Shah, A San Francisco High School teacher, who wrote this “work,” to help those students struggling with the outcome of the election, “Let us please not sidestep the fact that a racist and sexist man has become the president of our country by pandering to a huge racist and sexist base.”
Shah describes her lesson plan as one that is, “an anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-Islamophobic (and) anti-homophobic philosophy,” she continued. “This is a philosophy about upliftment, hope and justice.”
Her radical plan has already been distributed to thousands of union educators throughout the entire San Francisco school district. Gentle Blythe, a school district spokesman said this about the lesson plan, “The plan — sent out to more than 6,000 union teachers — is optional and not part of the official curriculum.
Educators are entrusted to create lessons that reflect the California standards, support students’ social and emotional well-being and foster inclusive and safe school communities.” San Francisco’s Republican party were not at all happy with this new controversial lesson plan.
Harmett Dhillon, a RNC committeewoman stated, “It’s inappropriate on every level. It is inappropriate propaganda that unfairly demonizes not only the campaign that Donald Trump, the winner, ran, but also all of the people who voted for him.”
San Francisco’s public schools contain more than 57,000 students, from many diverse backgrounds. The students’ families, many whom are in the country illegally, are troubled by Trump’s calls for deportation. The Muslim students are very worried about Trump’s threats to ban all Muslims from entering the country.
