Graphic video taken by a teen who livestreamed a fatal car crash on Instagram shows her sister’s deceased body in the aftermath.
On Friday, 18-year-old Obdulia Sanchez was allegedly driving under the influence on a California highway with two 14-year-old girls in the back seat of the car while filming herself.
In the video, the camera suddenly begins to shake and the girls are heard screaming. The film resumes moments later with the image of Sanchez lying next to her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline.
“Jacqueline, please wake up,” Sanchez says while trying to wake up her motionless sister.
She is then heard saying, “I fu–king killed my sister, OK? I know I’m going to jail for life. I understand that. I don’t fu–king care, though. I’m sorry, baby. I’m gonna hold it down.”
Jacqueline Sanchez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. She was ejected from the vehicle and died upon impact.
Police said Obdulia was under the influence when she lost control of the car and it rammed into a barbed wire fence.
Obdulia was held in county jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter while under the influence.
