A teenager in Rockville, Maryland was viciously attacked on Wednesday by students protesting Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election, all because he wore a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Hundreds of students from Richard Montgomery High School protested the election outside of the Rockville courthouse by marching, chanting, and holding signs that said “Love Trumps Hate” and “Stronger Together.”
A 15-year-old boy wearing the Trump hat was then surrounded by the protesters, attacked by about four students who threw him to the ground, punched him multiple times and kicked him repeatedly in the ribs, according to WTOP.
“They jumped him and beat him up pretty bad,” Max Stucky, a bystander who witnessed the attack told the news station.
After the teen was evaluated by medics, he was taken away from the protest in an ambulance. Those responsible for the attack have not been arrested yet, but police officers are currently talking to those who witnessed the beating.
This attack is just one of many that have happened since the election results were announced last Wednesday.
