Telsa CEO announces response if Trump exits Paris agreement


In response to the news that President Trump may withdraw the United States from the Paris climate change agreement, Elon Musk, the CEO of Telsa and SpaceX, has issued an ultimatum.

Musk, who is a member of the President’s Strategic and Policy Council of business executives, threatened to withdraw from the council if Trump withdraws from the Paris Accord.

He tweeted just after noon Wednesday, “Don’t know which way Paris will go, but I’ve done all I can to advise directly to POTUS, through others in WH & via councils, that we remain.”

In response, a follower asked him, “What will you do if he makes the decision to leave?”

Must replied, “Will have no choice but to depart councils in that case.”

Musk also re-tweeted a story announcing that Exxon shareholders approved a measure by a landslide 62 percent vote, requiring the company to start producing an annual report on the impacts of climate change to its business, indicating that “momentum for action on climate is growing without the White House leadership.”
