THE NEXT GOP SENATOR WHO WON’T SUPPORT TRUMP

Due to Donald Trump questioning whether a judge’s Mexican heritage would prevent him from being impartial, another Republican senator is bailing out on supporting Trump as the presidential nominee. Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Arizona Senator Jeff Flake said, “It’s uncomfortable not having endorsed the Republican nominee, I have to say, but I can’t at this point.”

“His statements this week on the judge — that’s a new level,” Mr. Flake said. “Because it’s not just … ill-informed or ignorant statements, but they suggest that when he’s president, you know, after November, that … perhaps he ought to go after that judge. That’s a whole new level. So that’s — it’s very disturbing.”

Flake said party leaders are trying to “mold Trump and bring him back to where he needs to be, but it’s not working right now.”  “I hope to be able to support the nominee, but I certainly can’t right now,” Flake said.  Flake was one of the sponsors of the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill.
