Thousands Protest Trump For Second Night

Disgruntled anti-Trump protesters have took to the streets for the second night in a row to express their anger over the results of the presidential election.

While some of the protests going on across the country have been peaceful, others have been violent. Some of the protests have warranted police intervention, and multiple arrests have been made. Police in Portland used stun grenades on an anti-DonaldTrump protest which descended into a riot last night after cars were smashed, buildings and cars vandalized and fires started. They arrested 29 people during the second night of protests against Trump and there were also angry scenes in many other cities – including New York, Philadelphia and Oakland – which had voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.

The President-elect reacted by heading to Twitter and blaming ‘professional protesters’ for the unrest.
He tweeted: ‘Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!’

Pictures and videos from the second night of protests can be seen below:

Over 1000 protesters met at city hall in Philadelphia at 5:00 pm and began to march.

While the Philadelphia protests were peaceful, arrests were made at the ones taking place in Baltimore, Maryland.

Protests in Oakland, California have also continued. Police can be seen wearing riot gear in reponse to the first night’s violent protests.

In Minneapolis hundreds gathered to protest and police shut streets down ahead of the marches.

Protests also broke out in Michigan where crowds chanted, “not my president!” and “love trumps hate!”
