Three monks who were reported to be “middle-level managers” have all been dismissed as a result of a huge public fight they were involved in at a temple in China on April 24 that was so bad it took several people to break it up.
The head monk issued a statement on Chinese social media, saying they have set a bad example for society. “We insist on following the principal of quality over quantity,” he said, and added that the three “broke the principal of Buddhism.”
