Three little girls under the age of 10 have been found brutally murdered inside a suburban home. Police say this is one of the most horrific crime scenes they have ever worked on.
Authorities rushed to the home in Clinton, Maryland, after the mother of one of the children arrived there Friday morning and discovered the bodies.
First responders found the three girls inside with trauma to their bodies. The little girls were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Although officials have not disclosed further details of the horrific killings, NBC Washington reports the girls “were found beaten to death”.
Counselors were brought to the scene to help first responding officers cope with the disturbing discovery.
According to Prince George’s County police spokesperson Jennifer Donelan, the slayings were “one of the most difficult scenes” the cops have encountered.
A two-year-old was also found inside the home unharmed, the Washington Post reported.
It has been confirmed that all three of the girls killed were related, however, their names and ages have not yet been released.
Antonio Williams, 24, of Clinton, Md. was arrested Friday, but no further details of the arrest has been released at this time. Police say Williams resided on the same street as the home where the three girls’ bodies were found.
The investigation is ongoing.
