A man was stabbed to death outside a Brooklyn park by a stranger who he got into a random argument with, police sources said Saturday.
George Carroll, 42, was walking with his wife down Monitor St. near McGorlick Park in Greenpoint when he got into a dispute with two men around 9:30 p.m. Friday, police reports stated.
During the argument, one of the men pulled a knife and struck it into Carroll’s chest multiple times.
Carroll’s horrified wife, Christina Carroll, 41, began screaming and flagged down people nearby for help.
Carroll was rushed to Woodhull Hospital but unfortunelty could not be saved.
He was fatally stabbed just down the block from the where the couple lived.
“It still hasn’t sank in yet,” Christina Carroll said.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
The victim and his wife moved to Greenpoint in February and were looking to find another apartment in the neighborhood.
