Trump and Adam Schiff get into Twitter tiff

After Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee released their rebuttal of a GOP FISA abuse memo on Saturday, President Trump sent out several messages on Twitter, including one about Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) that caused Schiff to pounce back.

Trump quoted a Fox News report, along with his response, and tweeted: “Congressman Schiff omitted and distorted key facts” @FoxNews So, what else is new. He is a total phony!

Schiff tweeted back: Wait a minute, Mr. President. Am I a phony, or sleazy, a monster or little? Surely you know the key to a good playground nickname is consistency. I thought you were supposed to be good at this.

The Hill has noted that Trump actually misquoted the quote from the “Fox Report,” with anchor Molly Line, who actually said, “Congressman Adam Schiff, he argued the Republican memo omitted and distorted key facts meant to mislead the public. This democratic memo was meant to be the rebuttal and was meant to show what was left out.”
