Trump Announces New ‘Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office’

On Wednesday, Press Secretary Sean Spicer spoke of a new program that will take away funding for illegal aliens and, instead, redistribute that money to victims of illegal alien crimes.

The Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office (VOICE) is part of President Trump’s recent executive action on immigration enforcement.

“This office will facilitate the engagement with victims and their families to ensure questions and concerns regarding immigration enforcement efforts are addressed,” Spicer said.

In a memo released to members of the Department of Homeland Security, Sec. John Kelly wrote:

In addition, it is reported Sec. Kelly ordered the Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “reallocate any and all resources that are currently used to advocate on behalf of illegal aliens to the new VOICE office, and to immediately terminate the provision of such outreach or advocacy services to illegal aliens.”
