Trump blasts CNN’s fake reporting in Poland conference

During his speech at a press conference in Warsaw Thursday, President Trump was asked to respond to accusations that CNN blackmailed the Reddit user who created the anti-CNN meme he tweeted out last week.

“They have been fake news for a long time,” Trump stated, noting that the network’s treatment of the meme-maker was “unfortunate for them.” He added that CNN has taken the joke “too seriously and I think they’ve hurt themselves very badly.”

Trump explained, “They’ve been covering me in a very dishonest way… NBC is equally is bad, despite the fact that I made them a fortune with ‘The Apprentice’ but they forgot that.”

Trump further stated, “What we want to see in the United States is honest, beautiful, free, but honest press. We want to see fair press, I think it’s a very important thing. We don’t want fake news. And by the way, not everybody is fake news. But we don’t want fake news. Bad thing. Very bad for our country.”

Trump is talking about more than fake news while in Poland.  So far he has effectively used his Poland trip to speak and North Korea, and he made a strong call for Russia to improve its behavior.
