Trump confirms confidence in Sessions

After days of speculation about the relationship between President Trump and A.G. Jeff Sessions is souring, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee-Sanders told reporters that President Donald Trump remains confident in Sessions on Thursday afternoon.

Huckabee-Sanders answered reporters by saying “absolutely” when they asked if the president has confidence in Jeff Sessions and the rest of his Cabinet.

The narrative that Trump was unhappy with Sessions surfaced after a New York Times article claimed a source inside the White House said the president was unhappy with his attorney general. The story turned into a major headline when press secretary Sean Spicer said on Tuesday that he wasn’t sure about the president’s opinion on Sessions because he hadn’t discussed the topic with him.

As of now, it appears all is well between Sessions and Trump.
