Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) continued her anti-Trump campaign Monday saying she doesn’t think the president believes in anything.
During an interview with online radio show “The Breakfast Club,” Waters took her favorite question: “Do you think President Trump is the worst president ever?”
“The worst I’ve ever seen, the worst I’ve ever experienced … yes, I do,” she said. “I really do, because I think he believes in nothing. I think that he cares about nothing. I think that he’s capable of doing outrageous things.”
In an environment where every Democrat and his uncle has had a say about Trump, Waters found a way to rise above the fray in the headline-grabbing Trump-bashing. She has said the president should be exiled and has threatened to tear Dr. Ben Carson’s “a** apart”.
Each Maxine Waters interview inevitably devolves into a soliloquy on Trump’s transgressions and it has gotten to the point where onlookers are speculating she may be running for president in 2020. Others have hinted that she has been tapped to be the next speaker of the House, should Democrats regain a majority in 2018.
In an interview with MSNBC last week, Waters called Trump “the most deplorable person” she’s ever met, calling back to when Hillary referred to his supporters as a “basket of deplorables.”
Also in the “Breakfast Club” interview, Waters made sure to hit on her signature “Trump impeachment” platform. While the Russia probe is in full heat, a conclusion isn’t set to be reached until 2018 at the earliest, and thus, Waters’ constant references to it are what they are speculated to be: political ploys.
