Trump ecstasy tablets seized in Germany worth thousands (video)

Police in northwestern Germany have discovered and seized thousands of tablets of the party drug called ecstasy, the Associated Press has reported. Each tablet is in the shape of Donald Trump’s head, with clear features leaving no doubt about the figure after whom the tablets were modeled.

With a street value estimated to be around 39,000 euros ($45,900 USD), this was a sizable bust. Police in the northwestern German town of Osnabrueck claim they found the drugs while checking a car on the A30 highway on Saturday. The vehicle was registered in the country of Austria. At this time, it is unclear what led police officers to search the car.

The automobile was occupied by a man, 51, and his 17-year old son. The father and son told police they had been in the Netherlands and were trying to buy a car. They claim to have had no success and, therefore, decided to return home.

In the car, the officers found a large but unspecified amount of cash along with approximately 5,000 orange colored ecstasy tablets shaped like Trump. On the back of each pill is the printed word: “Trump.”

After finding the drugs and the money, the car was seized and towed away and the father and son were ordered by a judge to be kept in custody. It has not been reported whether they will face trial or jail time.

Ecstasy is a psychoactive drug primarily used as a recreational drug. It gives users the desired effects of increased empathy, euphoria and heightened sensations.
