Trump Fires Back at Michelle: “We Have Tremendous Hope”

Mobile, Alabama — While at the last stop in his Thank You Tour,  President-elect Donald Trump had this to say about the statement Michelle made while filming an Oprah Winfrey interview at the White House last week:

“We have tremendous hope, and we have tremendous promise and tremendous potential and I actually think she made that statement not meaning it the way it came out.”

Trump added that when he met Michelle back in November, “She couldn’t have been nicer.”

Michelle Obama told Oprah during her interview, that her husband, President Barack Obama, had achieved the hope that he promised America. Michelle spoke about how the American people feel now that her husband will be leaving and without ever mentioning the President elect’s name, insinuated that with Trump coming into office:

“We feel the difference now. See, now, we’re feeling what not having hope feels like.”

Trump added this comment as he spoke to the large crowd:

“And beyond hope, we have such potential. This country has such potential. You watch, it’s going to be so special. Things are going to happen like you haven’t seen happen in many many decades. This is truly an exciting time to be alive. The script is not yet written.”
