President Trump started his Friday with a tweet targeted at Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The president tweeted: “Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice…but at least he tried hard!”
Friday’s tweet comes a day after the two went back and forth tweeting insults at each other.
The insults started when Trump took a swing at Schwarzenegger during his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday.
In his speech, Trump stated the following to the audience:
“We had tremendous success on The Apprentice and, when I ran for president, I had to leave the show. That’s when I knew, for sure, that I was doing it. They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place. And we know how that turned out. The ratings went right down the tubes. It’s been a total disaster. And [executive producer] Mark [Burnett] will never, ever bet against Trump again. So, I want to just pray for Arnold, if we can.”
Then Arnold posted a selfie video offering to switch jobs with the president so that people can sleep comfortably again. See video by clicking here.
Stay tuned to see if Arnold responds to President Trump later today.
