Trump-hating Kathy Griffin files a restraining order

Trump detractor and former “My Life on the D-List” reality star, Kathy Griffin ran into some trouble at home last weekend, when her boyfriend faced off against her neighbor. Now, according to reports, there’s been a restraining order request filed in the case (warning: explicit language referenced).

Griffin’s boyfriend, Randy Bick, and her neighbor, CEO of KB Homes Jeffrey Mezger, were involved in a dispute over the noise level coming from Mezger’s house last Saturday. According to reports, Mezger’s grandchildren were playing in his pool Saturday evening. Griffin and Bick were disturbed by the noise coming from the home, prompting them to call the police.

The situation motivated Mezger to go on a vulgar rant, calling Griffin a “bald d-ke” and a “c-nt” whom President Donald Trump “kind of put the heat on.”

During the confrontation, when Griffin became involved, Mezger explicitly told her, “Let’s declare war, a-shole, ’cause we got a lot to go for. Let’s bring it on, you b-tch, f-cking c-nt.”

According to documents filed Friday in the Los Angeles County Court, Griffin is asking a judge to protect her from Mezger and his wife, Sandra, as reported in The Blast. Griffin’s boyfriend, Bick, also filed a separate restraining order against the KB Homes executive.

The Huffington Post published audio of Mezger screaming at Griffin and Bick, captured by a security camera.

A spokesperson for Mezger said in a statement that Saturday’s confrontation was the result of a culmination of a series of “unneighborly actions by Griffin and her boyfriend,” and that Mezger does not believe there is any excuse for the language he used.

On Thursday, KB Homes announced it would cut Mezger’s 2017 bonus by 25% because of the tirade and that he would be dismissed if he were to be involved “in any similar incidents.”

“Mr. Mezger’s recent behavior in his personal dealings with a neighbor is unacceptable and a negative reflection on KB Home,” the directors at KB Home said.
