President elect Trump has invited the top media executives and anchors from the five biggest television networks to join him at Trump Tower on Monday afternoon.
According to CNN Money, the meeting was organized by Trump’s campaign manager and senior advisor Kellyanne Conway. The meeting would be attended by Trump and Conway, as well as representatives from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and Fox News, and MSNBC.
CNN reports that some of the big names invited are, “NBC’s Chuck Todd and Lester Holt; CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Erin Burnett; CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, Charlie Rose, John Dickerson, and Gayle King; and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.”
The reason for the meeting is off the record, presently unknown, and will not be immediately answered by the attendees. However there is speculation that it may address some of the media’s questions about the specific level of press access will Trump provide, and will it be the same level as past presidents have allowed.
