Trump Holds Joint Press Conference With Israel’s Prime Minister

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning to meet with President Trump.

Trump and Netanyahu began the visit by holding a joint press conference at the White House.

Trump said the visit reaffirms “our unbreakable bond” with our cherished ally, Israel.

They each confirmed their commitment to stop the threat of Iran. Trump slammed the United Nations for treating Israel unfairly, and he stressed the importance of working out a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.

Netanyahu said, “President Trump has led a very important effort in the past few weeks, in pointing out Iran’s violations.” He pointed out that Iran writes directly on their missiles, “Death to Israel,” and said it is vitally important to roll back Iran’s ability to launch nuclear weapons.

Netanyahu said Israel and the United States have always been strong allies, but said to Trump, “Under your leadership, I am confident the relationship will get even stronger.”
