Trump Jr. drops hints of running for political office

During a speech given to members of the F6 Labs gun club in Hicksville, New York, Donald Trump Jr. said he would “love to follow his father into office.”

Don Jr. noted that he didn’t want to be one of 100 senators, nor a member of Congress, according to a report in Page Six on Wednesday.

Considering the future after experiencing his father’s campaign, Trump Jr. said he asked himself, “Do I want to be behind the scenes, and be a mouthpiece and fight back against crazy liberal media? Maybe.”

The younger Trump admitted that he has been bitten by “the politics bug” and is now bored with just making deals. Along with brother Eric, the two have taken over the Trump Organization since their father’s election.

A gun rights advocate, who enjoys hunting and fishing, Don Jr. has said he would oppose anything that restricts the Second Amendment. He supports state reciprocity laws, which allow guns to be carried from state to state with a permit.

It is unknown whether he will run for office anytime soon.
