Peter Strzok, the top FBI investigator who special counsel Robert Mueller suddenly removed from the probe into alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, was outed as being an anti-Trumper, when thousands of texts were revealed between Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he had a romantic relationship.

Tuesday, the Justice Department released a huge batch of the text messages to congressional committees, and Fox News announced Tuesday night that they had obtained copies of the messages, which revealed that Strzok was firmly behind Hillary Clinton during the presidential election campaign season.

In the texts, Strzok made statements against Trump before the 2016 election, calling him a “loathsome human,” an “idiot,” and said in one text, “I can not believe Donald Trump is likely to be an actual, serious candidate for president.”

Fox News host Shannon Bream sent out a tweet Tuesday night, saying, “Our @FoxNews producer @JakeBGibson has obtained 10K texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.”

President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr, responded to the news with a tweet that said, “This should be fun.”

CBS News also tweeted about the release of the texts, saying, “Timeline of texts from former Special Counsel investigator Peter Strzok may raise concerns about his impartiality and will likely raise more questions about the Clinton server investigation.”

Trump Jr. shot back with, “You forgot to put quotes around “impartiality” because there is literally nothing impartial about him. The Salem Witch trials were less biased. ”

Strzok was not only on Mueller’s probe into Russian collusion but he was one of the top investigators in the probe of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her term as secretary of state. He was also reported to be one of the FBI officials who interviewed Clinton.
