Trump Jr. tweets message about actor ‘The Gunny’ R. Lee Ermey’s death

Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, sent out a tweet Sunday evening, remembering actor and Marine vet R. Lee Ermey who passed away that morning.

Trump Jr. posted a number of photos of Ermey, along with the following message: Today we lost a legend. I am proud to have had R. Lee Ermey as a friend & teammate. If you thought he was motivating in Full Metal Jacket you should have seen him on the firing line when points mattered. Legendary!!! RIP my friend. #RIPGunny #rip #gunny #SemperFi

Ermey, known as “The Gunny,” passed away Sunday morning from complications related to pneumonia. His longtime manager, Bill Rogin, made the announcement on Twitter, ending his message: “Semper Fi, Gunny. Godspeed.”
