Coming off the heels of the GOP Convention in Cleveland, Donald Trump has taken a 4-point lead over Hillary Clinton. The poll, which was conducted by Morning Consult, polled 2,502 registered voters. The poll was conducted from July 22 through July 24. It has an error margin of 2 percent.

According to Morning Consult, Trump now leads Clinton 44 percent to 40 percent.

Leading up to the GOP Convention, the Morning Consult poll had Clinton enjoying a 2-point lead over Trump (41-39). Trump’s new lead reflects the support of “undecided” voters, according to Morning Consult.

“More than four in 10, 43 percent, of voters said the convention gave them a more favorable impression of the Republican Party, whereas three in 10, 31 percent, said it gave them a less favorable view of the Democratic Party,” Morning Consult said.
