From the time Donald Trump announced his candidacy in June of 2015, the billionaire real estate mogul has funded his own campaign. Trump claims he has dished out about $50 million. But in order to battle Hillary Clinton in the general election he will need a war chest of epic measure, and so Trump is going to the GOP donor pool who is prepared to donate big bucks.
Billionaire Republican donor Sheldon Adelson is reportedly willing to give Donald Trump as much as $100 million for his presidential campaign — a purported record-setting amount for the wealth casino magnate. If he does donate $100 million, it represents a dollar amount twice that of what Trump donated to himself.

Adelson pledged the amount to Trump during a meeting last week in New York, two GOP sources told The New York Times, which first reported the story.
Trump has touted his self-funded candidacy sets him apart from the politicians. But with this new shift in funding, critics say Trump proves he is a liar and will flip-flop on all his promises. The real question is ‘do Trump’s supporters care about the donations?’ We have a poll going on right now asking that very question. Thousands of people have weighed in, take a look and take part if you like.
