President Elect Donald Trump tweeted out his displeasure on Friday night, at Rexnord of Indiana’s decision to fire American workers and move to Mexico.
Fox 59 reports that Trump’s tweet was in response to the company’s announcement last month to move jobs out of Indianapolis to Mexico.
Rexnord said it will move over 300 union jobs and 75-80 supervisory jobs to Mexico by June of 2017.
Trump has made saving American jobs from going to Mexico, a major campaign promise.

Chuck Jones, the United Steel Workers Union President, said Rexnord, “Cited the wage difference as the reason they are moving. In Indianapolis, workers were making $25 per hour, plus benefits. The workers in Mexico will be making $2.50-$3.00 per hour, plus benefits.”
Rexnord, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a leading worldwide industrial company comprised of two strategic platforms: Process and Motion Control (PMC) and Water Management.
The workers of Rexnord staged a protest outside of the factory in response to the move.
