In an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday, President Donald Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow addressed the lack of mainstream media coverage of the news that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee did, in fact, collude with Ukraine, and their efforts impacted the Trump campaign.
On Sunday, ABC finally demonstrated some interest in the story, which was reported by Politico in January, when Democratic Representative Adam Schiff was asked if it was acceptable for the Democrats to accept assistance from Ukraine. Schiff admitted that it would not be appropriate, and further said that it would be problematic.
Sekulow and host Sean Hannity discussed the lopsided media coverage of a true occurrence of collusion versus the overblown case that the media and others continue to try to piece together against President Trump and his campaign associates.
Sekulow explained his view of why the mainstream media is not fully covering the story of the Clinton campaign colluding with Ukraine, saying, “Facts are facts. When you look at the facts here of what’s been on the record for over six months now, ask yourself why it’s not getting covered. As with so many issues, it doesn’t fit into the narrative.”
